The Union minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting (I&B), M. Venkaiah Naidu has recently launched ‘Google toilet locator’ mobile app in partnership with Google. The app will integrate data on all public toilets–even those in private buildings–with Google maps. The app will have additional features such as cleanliness ratings, whether the toilet is of western or Indian style, or if it is free or paid. The app will have listings covering Delhi NCR, including Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad and Bhopal and Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Toilets can be located not just through the app, but on the desktop as well. The service will be accessible to users both in English and Hindi language.
