Sunil Arora, an IAS officer of 1980-batch Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, a think tank that comes under the Corporate Affairs Ministry. He will serve for a period of 5 years or till attaining 65 years of age or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. Arora is the former Information and Broadcasting Secretary and was also serving as an advisor at Prasar Bharati. IICA focuses on matters impacting functioning of corporates and work towards capacity building with various stakeholders including regulators and professionals, among other activities.
