“Lal Bahadur Shastri: Lessons in Leadership”- Anil Shastri’s book launched by Dalai Lama

The Tibetian spiritual leader Dalai Lama launched a book on the life of Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in New Delhi. The book titled ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri: Lessons in Leadership’ is a biographical account co-authored by former PM’s son Anil Shastri and columnist Pavan Choudhary.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of the Republic of India and a leader of the Indian National Congress party. He led his life with great simplicity and honesty and was a great source of inspiration for all the countrymen.

About the book “Lal Bahadur Shastri: Lessons in Leadership”

Highlights the rich values and principles of Former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri which may have moral lessons for masses.
And also his exemplary leadership that helped the nation to overcome challenges viz. the acute food shortage, social unrest, hostile neighbors, etc.
Contains an account of how Former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri handled questions of governance and politics even as he dealt with crises viz. the 1965 war with Pakistan.
