SIMBEX 2010 is the 17th edition of annual bilateral exercises between the Indian Navy (IN) and the Republic of Singapore Navy Its starts on April 3, 2010 at Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal

Haryana : Senior Citizen Samman Scheme
Senior Citizen Samman Scheme has been launched in Haryana. The scheme envisages creation of Senior Citizens Club in 1000 villages of Haryana. As per this scheme the village Gram Panchayats will provide land for a 400-square meter room at their own level in their villages.

Fact Box: Apni Beti Apna Dhan Yojna of Haryana: LAADLI
Apni Betian Apna Dhan(Ladli) is being implemented in Haryana Government under which Rs.5000/- per family i.e. Rs.2500/- per daughter is given to the parents on the birth of their second daughter born on or after Ist January,2006 up to five years.

Who is Nikesh Arora?
Nikesh Arora is global sales boss of Google and is the top earning Indian at the global search giant. Arora received $26.3 million in compensation in 2009. This also makes him one of the highest paid executives in America. he is also the top Ranking Indian in Google. He had joined the company in April 2009, after replacing Omid Kordestsani. Before this he was running Google in Europe.

India’s External Debt:
As of December 31, 2009 India’s total external debt was $ 251.4 Billion. Out of this Long term debt was $ 206 Billion while the short term debt was $ 45.2 Billion.

RBI : Normal Ways and Means Advances Limits
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) keeps the limit of state governments’ short-term borrowing from the central bank, called as Normal Ways and Means Advances, unchanged for the financial year started on April 1, 2010. The limit, which is also applicable for the union territory of Puducherry is placed at Rs 9925 crore.
