7th Indo- Maldives joint military exercise to begin

The seventh edition of military exercise EKUVERIN between the Indian Army & the Maldives National Defence Force will be held from 15 to 28 Dec 2016 at Kadhdhoo, Laamu Atoll, Maldives. The Exercise is a 14-day platoon level joint military exercise conducted on a yearly basis. The objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability between the two armies and train on amphibious & counter-insurgency/ counter-terrorism operations. The last edition of the exercise was held at Trivandrum, Kerala.
