Kayakalp Awards

All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been awarded with first prize of Rs. 3 crores under Kayakalp Scheme for year 2018-19 under A category. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has been awarded a prize money of ?1.5 crore and declared runner up.  Under category B first prize of Rs 2 Crores went to Shri Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital (VBCH), Silvassa. 11 private health facilities were also awarded this year. Kayakalp Awards were commenced in 2015 to encourage public health facilities to put efforts in improving cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices.
