28th Edition of New Delhi World Book Fair inaugurated by HRD Minister

The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nisank’ on Saturday, 4 January 2020 inaugurated New Delhi World Book Fair 2020 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The theme of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2020: GANDHI: WRITERS’ WRITER

This year marks the 28th edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair, more than 1300 stalls with more than 600 publishers are participating-from India publishers with 12 different Indian languages and more than 15 foreign countries are participating in this year’s edition.  Some of the special attractions in this year’s fair: a specially designed pavilion with an exclusive exhibition of 500 books on Mahatma Gandhi, the pavilion also has books written by Mahatma Gandhi. A separate author’s corner where the visitors will get a chance to meet some of the well-known popular and critically acclaimed writers. Set of more than 250 Braille Books, a separate children’s pavilion.

Speaking on the inauguration event, the HRD Minister was hopeful that the New Delhi World Book Fair, which is Asia’s largest book fair at present will soon become the world’s largest book fair.
