Matri Shree Media Awards

Twenty-nine journalists from print and electronic media were felicitated with Matri Shree Media Awards for their contribution towards journalism.

About the Awards

The Matri Shree Media Awards were established during the days of Emergency in 1975. From then the awards have been conferred annually to 25 outstanding candidates in print journalism and electronic media. From 2000, Indian filmmakers were also included for the awards.
