BJP wins all eight states in Gujarat By-Elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party has won all eight seats in assembly by-elections held in Gujarat. The By-Elections were held in Gujarat after the sitting Congress MLAs resigned ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls in June 2020.

Madhya Pradesh assembly by-elections: BJP: 19, Congress: 9, BSP: 1

In the By-elections held in Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 19, Congress won 9 seats while BSP won the remaining seat. BJP government needed eight MLAs for a simple majority of 115 in the 230-member Assembly.

On November 10, 2020, Fintech company Paytm launched ‘Payout Links’ for businesses. It enables the businesses to instantly process payouts to customers, employees and vendors without collecting their bank details.

The 75-year-old Azim Premji has become the most generous philanthropist in India for he year 2020. He was the former chairman of Wipro. He has been felicitated  with the award for his donation of Rs 7,904 crore.

Indian Army gifts military horses, mine detection dogs to Bangladesh Army

On November 10, 2020, the Indian Army gifted 20 fully trained military horses and 10 mine detection dogs to Bangladesh Army. These dogs were trained by the Remount and Veterinary Corps of Indian Army. The Indian Army also trained Bangladesh Army personnel to handle these horses and dogs

20th Summit of SCO Council held

On November 10, 2020, the 20th Summit of SCO Council of Heads of State was held. It was chaired by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Indian delegation.

“Lockdown” picked as Word of the Year by Collins Dictionary

On November 10, 2020, the Collins Dictionary picked “lockdown” as its Word of The Year in 2020. Collins defines “lockdown” as “the imposition of stringent restrictions on travel, social interaction, and access to public spaces”.

The World Science Day for Peace and Development was celebrated on November 10, 2020. This year’s theme is: “Science for and with Society in dealing with the global pandemic.”

    I don’t understand how in MP by-elections, if BJP won 19 seats and congress won 9 that means all 28/28 seats are won by BJP or Congress then how did BSP won 1 seat?
